Philosophy

As a self-taught artist, he has no pre-conceptions as to what good design constitutes.

" I am not locked into any prescribed way of doing things. Trial and error is my teacher. I believe in making only one-of-a-kind pieces...each piece is an experiment in creation."

Tim is greatly influenced by natural design and emulates natural balance and configurations.

" I believe that jewelry should be fashioned from precious materials...otherwise I would call it body adornment. This doesn't mean that either type of object is more valid that the other. That is the choice and creative venue of the wearer!"

" I am always experimenting with new techniques, knowing that the more I learn, the more I know I have to learn. I always strive to do the best work possible...work which is aesthetically pleasing and denotes the individuality of the wearer."

" I will never call myself a "Master Goldsmith" because I am the perpetual apprentice. My only limit is that of my imagination. All of my real and imagined experiences provide the motivation for what I do!"
